I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist trained in Adlerian counselling. My current location is in Chinnor, Buckinghamshire where I have a quiet, comfortable and easily accessible consulting room.
NEWSFLASH - Booking online is now working! November 2020 Corona update: Video counselling is still continuing, some face to face appointments are available in my room in Chinnor. I also do Couples counselling but due to the extended time required for this, please contact me to book. This cannot be done on my online booking system at the moment.
Counselling offers you the experience of talking with a skilled helper, who provides a comfortable space for you to freely explore a difficulty which may be of concern to you. As a counsellor I provide you with a strong level of support to help you work towards a solution, best suited to your situation. Whatever the difficulty, you are always assured understanding and non-judgement. For a lot of clients it is so much easier to speak to a stranger then any friend or family member.
Fundamental to my approach is the belief that with the right support, we all have the potential to continue to change and grow throughout our lives. By understanding ourselves and taking responsibility for our feelings we can find greater happiness. To decide to come to counselling takes courage but it can be the first step on a journey of self-awareness, healing and fulfilment.
How can Counselling help?
To be human means we will, at some time, go through periods of emotional pain, distress or unhappiness. Normally we are able to cope and get through these with or without help of friends or family.
But sometimes these thoughts can overwhelm us and have a negative impact on our health, well being, relationship and our enjoyment of life. We can feel stuck, alone and lost. Sometimes this can make it very difficult to share your feelings with others and can lead to a deep sense of isolation and low mood.
Fears including phobias and OCD
Lack of self esteem
